The american aircraft-wreck

In august 1944 an american B-24 bomber crashed down into the sea, being hit in a flight-attack against targets in Romania. On it`s flight back to Cyprus it wrecked into the sea, aprox. 200M in front of Manavgat, near Antalya. The crew was saved by inhabitants of the village Cengel Koy. In 1955, the cockpit was brought up to the water-surface and is now to be seen in a private museum in Istanbul. The remaining parts of the aircraft are still in the deep, down at 22m near Dilkum. Due to the fact, that there is no particular sign, marking the place of the wreck, an exact calculation of the position is necessary.
