Two years ago (2011) considered the team from the dive center in Antalya, Turkey, as one can make for divers the bays even more attractive. Wrecks are scarce and certainly not near the “San Didier” is the only worthwhile goal. Then came the idea: Hikrnet Seker, teachers from Antalya and passionate recreational divers who used his contacts to Turkish Aviation Club to get an old airplane for a wrack. This had a Dornier Do 28, a small transport plane from 1967, on the scrapping list. With the dimensions of the flier in the luggage divers searched for the ideal place: not too deep, close to the bay: Three seats for the plane wreck came into question, and the local authorities as well as the Coast Guard and the water police were asked for help. After one year, then finally came in February, the expected approval. With the support of several sponsors it was done: Now could the Do 28 slow in the bay in front of the Divan Talya Hotel are set to ground. Now rests the Dornier at a depth from 19.5 to 23.3 meters, to be inhabited by marine organisms and explored by divers.
